PAHSA Appoints New Executive Director

Cynthia L. Ray (Cindy) has been named Executive Director of PAHSA effective June 5, 2012. Cindy will oversee day to day operations, organize PAHSA events, provide support for and communication with PAHSA members and strengthen the relationship and effectiveness with the PCUSA.

In addition to her responsibilities for the administration of PAHSA, Cindy serves as Communications Specialist for Presbyterian Homes and Services (PHS) in Roseville, Minnesota, where she is responsible for public relations, print and web publication, social media and web administration. Cindy is ordained as a teaching elder (clergy) in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a member of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area. She is a past moderator of the presbytery and is currently serving as chair of the presbytery council.

Before coming to PHS, Cindy served for over 25 years as pastor of congregations in Florida, Missouri and Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Kansas, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Ecumenics from Ecumenical Institute of Bossey, the study center of the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland. Cindy is married to Steve Nicholson, a Community Forester in private consulting. They live in St. Paul, MN and, with their two grown daughters, are active in the life of Macalester-Plymouth United Church in St. Paul.
