Member Benefits

Through membership, leaders have access to unique programs, features
and relationships that support their organization to serve in mission and faith.
Faith-based support for your mission
PAHSA strengthens and deepens the capacity of its members in senior housing and services to faithfully and effectively fulfill their missions.

A fellowship of professionals
Fellowship among those who are part of PAHSA’s membership encourages leaders to cultivate mutual encouragement, dialogue, spiritual renewal, and best practices between professional colleagues with similar values and mission orientations

Members look forward to the annual Fall Gathering held in conjunction with the LeadingAge Annual Meeting. The members’ only reception and dinner is typically held at a landmark venue in the host city, offering a unique and enjoyable evening to catch up with old friends and make new ones. The event is open to all PAHSA member staff and volunteers who are attending the LeadingAge Annual Meeting.

Professional affinity groups meet virtually to network, share ideas and resources and offer mutual support. Each forum is facilitated by a participating colleague and the hot topics and questions are generated by participants.  Click here for upcoming group meetings.

Education and leadership development
Built on the Presbyterian commitment to life-long learning, PAHSA offers educational events for executives, board members and fundraising teams. New programs are incubating and emerging for other professional groups and topics.

Spiritual heritage and culture
PAHSA works actively with its members to articulate and live out their faith-based mission within the Presbyterian/Reformed tradition.  Guidance in theologically informed organizational values and principles and practices is available to enrich the faith-based culture and practices of member organizations. Spiritual guidance and support for Christian culture may be applied to governance, leadership development and discernment, organizational stewardship in operations, employment practices and more.

Peer consultation
PAHSA facilitates peer consultation in many forms both formal and informal.  Peer consultations are an effective way to get new ideas from others with corresponding goals, values and experience.

Church relations
PAHSA can help build bridges between your organization and Presbyterian denominational councils, educational institutions and/or related organizations.

Group purchasing
Through PAHSA's partnership with Care Purchasing Services (CPS), members can purchase innovative an sustainable products and services at competitive prices offered by a broad array of vendors.

Marketing directory and referral service
Older adults and their families looking for senior housing and services with faith-based values found within a Presbyterian heritage often come to PAHSA for support in their search. Through its website, PAHSA offers a public directory of its member locations and services with a direct contact link to each member marketing representative.  PAHSA staff also responds to emails and phone calls received directly, providing guidance to potential residents and clients and referring them to PAHSA member locations that have the right services in the right places to meet their needs.

Online members-only web portal
All member organizations and related staff can login to  pahsa.org, gaining access to a secure environment where members will find helpful business information about other members, contact with member professionals in their field, membership renewal on-line payment, event information and registration and exclusive and informative resources. The member portal also allows members to manage and update their organization and individual profiles as well as pull reports of programmatic and financial activity in PAHSA.
